Applications are now open for the 2017 NSW Youth Advisory Council (YAC) for young people aged between 12-24 years. The YAC provides a direct avenue of communication between young people of NSW and the NSW Government. The 12 member YAC is established under the Advocate for Children and Young People Act 2014. It provides advice directly to the Minister responsible for Youth and the NSW Advocate for Children and Young People. Information and applications forms for membership of the YAS are available at www.acyp.nsw.gov.au. Closing date for submissions is 5pm Friday 30 September 2016.
